Having signed permanent contracts with Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki, and Enzo Le Fee, Sunderland has so far concentrated on their midfield this summer. As they are ready to return to the Premier League, the Black Cats are now trying to bolster other parts of their team, especially their attacking possibilities.
The French newspaper L'Equipe claims that Sunderland and Sassuolo are now negotiating regarding Lauriente's availability. The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract, therefore Sunderland may see an opportunity to negotiate a lower fee. Last season, Lauriente scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 33 league games, helping Sassuolo win the Serie B championship. Pavel Sulc, an attacker for Viktoria Plzen, has apparently been the subject of an initial inquiry from Bournemouth. After recording 20 goals and 15 assists in 54 competitive games for Plzen previous season, Sulc is drawing a lot of transfer interest.
